Today, Honey and I hit up the 2008 San Dieguito 5K Run/Walk, and I think we rocked the hell out of it! I have never done any kind of running event, and Honey had only done a breast cancer 5K once before. We pushed ourselves and jogged and walked briskly the entire way.
Our finishing time was 41.24, which isn't amazing, but for our first real event, I am so proud of us! We only decided to do this a couple of weeks ago, and did no training at all to prepare, so I think we did well.
Honey and I have decided to do about 1 benefit race/walk per month. Next month we're doing the Race for Autism in Balboa Park. It's another 5K, and I'm really excited to work on training and improving my time in that race.
If anyone would like to sponsor me in this race, please feel free to make an online donation here:

Hey ladies!
Drink your milk!

According to this article, drinking low-fat milk can help significantly in losing weight - especially in your mid-sections. And who can't afford to get rid of some weight there? (For those reading this who can't afford to, I officially hate you.)
I dont know about you, but I'm certainly going out to buy some milk tomorrow...
